Hi, it’s Lois Dixon here, your Education Director of our Club and School. Our goals this year are to grow the Club and School and get us all back on the water. Covid was NOT our friend!
Saylorville Lake Marina 2022 Kickoff
Saylorville Lake Marina and our Board of Directors invites you to our first big On the Water event and Social of 2022. On Saturday, May 21, 2022, the Marina will host its annual BBQ Kickoff of the year with a special opportunity to meet the Lake staff and get to know our Lake neighbors. There is a full day scheduled with activities and lunch from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Come join us for this exciting day to help promote our Sport of sailing, acquainting the public about us and our fun and exciting activities including our Club, School, Wednesday night races and our Regatta programs. Look for our tent and SYCSS banner, stop and say “Hi” and if you’d like to volunteer “Man the booth”, please contact me at info@sycss.org.
SYC/SS First Sail
Our First Sail gathering will begin after 3:00 pm in the grassy area of the Marina. We’ll meet our pre-registered guests at 3:30 and depart for our First Sail by 4:00 pm. If you would like to take a few guests on your own boat or on one of our P-15’s, please sign up in advance.
SYC/SS First Social
Plan to meet back at the docks by 6:00 pm and meet back at the tent on the grassy area for our First Social of the Year. Our volunteer hosts, Mike, and Heather Reyes will welcome our new sailors and us “Old Salts”. Plan to attend, spend some relaxing time, get to know our new guests, reacquaint with our regulars and share your exciting sailing stories. Bring lawn chairs and games if you wish. Food and beverages will be provided. Please RSVP for planning purposes.
